Mk 1:35. Tony van Drimmelen. What is it that gets you out of bed in the morning?  The thing that most motivates you and I is likely to determine why we get up and how we prioritize our day.  Every day there are heaps of things, all competing for our attention.  There is a means of grace held out to us in the gospel that promises a focus to every day.  It provides both the motivation and the poise we need to deal with our busy lives.  A time to pause and "be still" (Ps 46:10) offers the opportunity to live in the strength of the Almighty God of the universe (our Refuge and Strength Ps 46:1).  Many times throughout the gospels Jesus is doing just that.  In fact, when Jesus was at his busiest, he paused to draw nearer to His Father.  If Jesus found that necessary, how much more so should we?
